Wow, have I been away a long time, or what?? SORRY!!!! I've been so lazy lately, but I have been trying to keep up with your blogs. Honestly, I think it's partly the heat that has kept me away. We don't have air conditioning, because we only have one or two weeks during the summer where it gets hot enough to warrant the use of one, so through this heat wave, I have been dying and I didn't want to turn on my laptop because of how it heats up! Lame excuse, but it's the truth :/
Before I forget, I was awarded the Blogger Addict award by Ell! Thank you SOOO much, sweetie :) I will make sure to make that my next post, and I promise not to leave almost three weeks in between posts this time around. Hopefully tomorrow!
I have three doctor's appointments tomorrow. 8:30am is the doctor, 11am is the optometrist, and 2pm is the dentist. I will be a busy little bee tomorrow! My doctor's appointment is to have my blood drawn for a gluten allergy test. My mom thinks I have Celiac disease (gluten allergy). I am really hoping I do! It will cut out so much stuff, and make going out to eat so much harder! She really thinks I have it, so once they pull my blood tomorrow, my mom is having me go gluten-free. And my mom is not some kind of hypochondriac or something, because I had a friend in high school who's mom was like that, and was always thinking she and her children were sick with something! My mom is a nurse, so she knows her stuff, and my grandma was just diagnosed with it last week. Apparently the allergy is highly genetic, and I have always had unexplainable GI problems and other health-related issues. Being allergic to gluten would tie everything together and make a lot of sense. Most people would be so upset about being allergic to gluten, but here I am jumping for joy lol!
So my two weeks at the vet clinic were awesome! Thank you guys for asking! And thanks for all the happy birthday wishes as well :) Anyway, I got to do spays and neuters by myself! With one of the vets supervising, of course, but I was doing SURGERY on a live animal!! It was too cool :) I did a ton of blood draws, placing catheters, and putting in endotracheal tubes. It was really nice to do all that stuff there, because they all know me since I have worked there since high school, and they were all very patient. The vet techs and the doctors at school are not as nice and will not wait for you if you're going too slow or something, because they just feel like you are another vet student who doesn't know what they are doing type thing. So this gave me a lot of really good experience, and I feel a lot more confident :)
The wedding I went to with my friend was a lot of fun. That was the one where I got set up with the doctor. He is actually a chiropractor, so not an M.D. or anything, but I am sure he could give a mean back rub ;) Anyway, he was nice, and we were having fun, but my friend had to work a double shift at her vet clinic back home the next morning, so we had to leave wicked early. We left at about 9:45pm, and the party was just starting to pick up, i.e. everyone was just beginning to get good and drunk! So anyway, the guy Facebooked me, and sent me a message saying it was nice to meet me, but that's kind of it. Oh well. I am honestly not looking for a relationship right now anyway. School and Ana kind of take up all of my time! At least I know where my priorities lie!
Speaking of my priorities, my cousin and I had made plans for me to come down and visit her this week, but she had to end up canceling our plans because she could not get time off from work. Is it sad that the first thought I had was happy because then I wouldn't be forced to eat junk and go out drinking? Every time we get together, I eat so much crap and I come back bloated and feeling sick. I will miss not being able to see her like I had planned, but I will definitely not miss the eating. Although, with this gluten allergy, it's not like I would have been able to eat a whole load of junk, anyway. Still, I would have eaten more than usual hanging around with her.
On TMZ today, they posted Lindsay Lohan's mug shot, and her height and weight listed on the booking sheet. According to that, she is 5'6" and is 118lbs. Just thought you ladies would be interested.
Oh and also, something that made me very excited! If you live in the US, and you like Victoria Secret PINK stuff, you can sign up with VSpink.com as a member, and you can get a coupon for seven pairs of underwear for $25 instead of the normal five pairs for $25. I am totally going tomorrow; I never pass up a good deal on underwear! It is only good for one week though, I think through the 26th or something, so if you want the deal, do it soon! I definitely want a pair of leopard print undies haha!
Well, I think my post is more than long enough for you ladies, so I will stop here. Blogger Addict post is coming up next!
Love you, Skinnies!

Considering we just met and already finding out that you're getting leopard panties actually, make me love you. Perhaps it a lustful love, but we'll just skip over the details.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday btw. I'd give you a lap dance but again, we just met. I do have morals.
I'm glad you had fun at the wedding. Really, you should try to squeeze a dinner and a back rub outta that guy. Nice panties would help that out. lol That would make Lohan's BMI 19...Hmm. I thought she was thinner?

"Is it sad that the first thought I had was happy because then I wouldn't be forced to eat junk and go out drinking?"
ReplyDelete--I get like that ALLL the time with people. It's like, I'm in self-induced happy hermitage with Ana, haha.

Yay you're back!! I'm so glad :) I'm happy that your time at the vet clinic was great! It sounds like you had a lot of fun and learned a lot!
ReplyDeleteYay for cute undies :) Have fun!
Yay! I'm so happy you're posting again. You seem to be having an awesome summer.
ReplyDeleteI second Eva. Even when I'm really looking forward to seeing someone, if they cancel I am always like, "Oh well, at least I won't have to eat!" Why why WHY does socialization always involve food???
Oh my gosh, surgery? How scary! Glad you feel confident enough in yourself though to do well! I've always secretly wanted to be a vet but I guess I've just never ended up going that way. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteHope you get some killer underwear! ;)
