Happy May & A New Start

Thank goodness May is here. I need a fresh start, a new leaf to turn over, a clean state. April is all but forgotten. I begin May at 123lbs. this morning, because of a horrible last day in April. But it's erased. I won't talk of it. My grandma is slowly getting better and stronger, it is a beautiful and warm day outside, and today is the 1st. The 1st of anything is just such an empowering thing, and I know May is going to be my month.

Today is the Kentucky Derby - is anyone else watching? I am liking Conveyance and Paddy O'Prado. Unfortunately it's been raining in Louisville for the past two days, so the track is sloppy. It should make for an interesting race though; now the favorites are not so much the favorites anymore. The horses that like running in the mud have the advantage! It's all up for grabs.
