I Love Being Sneaky

I was able to watch What's Eating You this evening. T was at a friend's house, watching House, and K's boyfriend is up, so they were watching a movie in her room, and I was by myself in the living room with the TV. I caught a replay of yesterday's episode that was on, and it was pretty good! I had the sound turned down really low, and my finger was permanently on the channel up button, because I wanted to make sure that K couldn't hear the TV and if they were to come out of her room, I wanted to be able to change the channel quickly. I thought it could have focused more on the eating aspect of things, like Supersize Vs. Super Skinny does, showing what the people eat and don't eat, but I still thought it was interesting to watch. I thought Adrienne, the Ana girl, was so pretty and I loved her body! It was interesting as well, because she is my height and seems like she has the same build as me, shape-wise, so I got to see what I might look like if I ever go to 97lbs. Which is not my goal! But it was still kind of nice to see what I could look like.

I got two skinny compliments today. Well, you know. Compliments to me. We were in lab, where we were learning how to assist in difficult birthing in large animals, so they had these metal things that represented the uterus of a cow, and we had to attempt to pull a cadaver calf fetus through it. (I know, gross, but how else are we to learn? It's like how human doctors use human cadavers to practice their surgeries before they do it on live people). Anyway, pulling these things out was no small task, and in the act of pulling, the metal "uterus" would start to pull across the floor, so people had to stand on the back of them for counter-weight. One of my friends was trying to pull his cadaver out, and I jumped on the back of the metal uterus contraption, and he said "Great, you added your 70 pounds to this. It definitely won't move now." I know I don't look anywhere near 70 pounds, but I love comments like that.

And today K's boyfriend was talking about how he doesn't like chocolate, and I said "How can you not like chocolate? You're talking to the candy queen here!" K said "Yeah, she's the candy queen but she's like the skinniest girl ever." Another comment to make me feel happy inside :)

I am still not anywhere near where I want to be, weight-wise. I feel quite fat and large right now, actually. But what else is new?

Love you, Skinnies!

  1. You honestly have nothing to hide from your roomies!! It's totally normal for anyone to DVR a show. Just say it looked interesting to you, or that you've got a class where you're analyzing the effects of eating disorders, or that you knew someone from high school who had one and wanted to learn more about it. All of these documentaries and reality shows are too good to miss- I don't see anyone thinking that you've got 7 husbands just because you watch Sister Wives! (which, coincidentally, is a freakin wackkk show.)

    GUd LUCK!

  2. I loved the show! Adrienne was so freaking beautiful (the other girl seemed really selfish and mean to me) and was such a good dancer.
I watched it with my roommates, I am pretty sure you could do so without anybody thinking twice! Just say something about loving trash TV or the such. My roommates also wanted to watch it, and we watch Intervention together sometimes.
And I'm glad people are making you feel skinny! That is always so nice.
    Good luck!
