I did a guy's makeup last night. Now I ask you, how many times do you ladies get to say that in a year? I am going to go out on a limb here, and say not many! It was for a drag queen beauty competition that my vet school puts on every year. All of the proceeds go to a local cancer research center, and this year was particularly meaningful, because one of our favorite professors was diagnosed with breast cancer this summer. She came to the show with her face mask on, since she is undergoing chemotherapy and her immune system is shot, and her little beret on because she has lost most of her hair. It sucked to see her like that, but this has always been one of her favorite events, so I was glad she got out to see it :) We raised $3250! I was so proud of all the guys for making fools of themselves for such a good cause! Two of my professors even did it, which was hilarious, and they dragged two guy residents onstage while the votes were being tallied for the winner, and made them wear one-piece womens bathing suits! One of the residents was the new pathology resident, and I have decided I might just be looking forward to my pathology rotation now. Man was HOTT! My friend whom I did the makeup for didn't win, but he put up a valiant effort. His boobs were better than mine!
I have lost almost three pounds in the past five days, which is good. I am not even close to where I want to be, or goal weight, but losing still feels nice :) I am dreading Thanksgiving, though. Well, the food part. I am excited to head home Tuesday night and spend a couple of days with my family, but I really don't feel like being faced with all that food. I really hope that I can manage to come out on the other side at least maintaining. I would love to lose even one pound over Thanksgiving! I think that will be my goal: to come back to school having lost one pound over Thanksgiving. I think it is reasonable and doable as long as I keep things in check. Thanksgiving will be my day where I will try not to think as much about what I am eating (although that never works, but whatever) and the rest of the days I am home, I will make sure to restrict as much as possible.
I am going to see Harry Potter 7 tonight with friends! I am so excited. I have heard great things so far about the movie! I was bummed I couldn't see it on midnight Thursday night, but when I went to buy tickets, they were sold out :( The good side of that is that I wasn't extremely tired or anything on Friday.
Alright, I have got an exam on Monday I need to study for. Have a great weekend!
Love you, Skinnies!
