Fat Is Not Fashionable

There are a few websites I check everyday besides Blogger, and one of those is SkinnyvsCurvy.com. Today I opened the website, and was scrolling through the stories I hadn't read, and came across this little gem about a fashion designer using "real-sized" models in his Spring 2010 fashion show. Pictures were included of the "regular" girls, and skinny girls as well, and I can't see how anyone could think that the "normal-sized" girls are hotter or wear the clothes better. The pictures speak for themselves. The skinnies definitely have much better bodies for clothes.
The fat is popping out all over those girls! Granted, if they had been more covered, and had clothes that complimented their shapes better, they probably would have looked better, but that's just it. When you're skinny, you can wear whatever the hell you want, and KNOW you look good in it. You're not worried that a fat roll or a love handle is visible to everyone else, because they just aren't there. You want to show the clothes off better and make them sell? Call a skinnie. Fattie won't help you.

And I was thinking about dancing today while I was listening to some boring lecture about statistics that I don't care about. If a skinny girl dances around like an idiot, or is doing stupid dance moves, like "The Sprinkler", it's endearing. And if she dances really well, and has rhythm, she is hott. If a fat girl dances like an idiot, she just looks sad. And if she dances really well, people don't think she's hot. They might think she's a good dancer, but the guy at the bar is going to dance with the skinnie, not the fattie. I was literally envisioning these pictures in my mind, and I was almost laughing at how ludicrous some of the girls in my class would look trying to dance.

Just another two reasons we all have to get skinny and stay skinny :)

Love you, Skinnies!

  1. TELL me about it, girl! Thank you. Everyone's telling me "real" women are the real beauty, but that's just bullshit. Slenderness, wispiness, feathery ethereal beauty - that's it. Whatever, try telling them, I think they're just trying to make themselves feel better, y'know? If they say it enough times, that bigger is better, then people who are larger can just stay in their own eating habits guiltlessly, and still be considered "pretty" by themselves and others. But what happened to no pain no gain?

  2. I agree 100% about the fat vs thin dancers! If a fat girl can't dance it's horrible to see. But if she dances really well, it's kinda like seeing a dog walk around on two legs. It's funny because of the cognitive dissonance. Like, "Haha, they're trying to be [regular] people." I love to dance, but I don't make anyone else see it.
