The Laptop is Back From the Dead!

Yep, so one of the women in Computing Services fixed my laptop! I am overjoyed :))) She ended up having to restore it to factory settings, so I lost my music from iTunes that wasn't on my iPod yet, but it was only about $25 worth of music. So no biggie. I also lost all my thinspo I have saved from over the past year since I got the computer, so I will just have to start a new collection! And I can hunt for some of my old favorites. I am up for the challenge.

I've been doing well with eating. It hasn't really shown up on the scale though. Only 1.5lbs so far. I am going to go hard-core this week and next until the 19th. I swear I am going to do this. I have done it before.

So this evening, one of my friends, T, came over after class to study, stayed through dinner time. K said she would make her dinner, and pulled out some Pastaroni and Kraft mac and cheese (barf; if you're going to make pasta, at least make it good pasta) and gave T her choice. T chose one of the Pastaroni's, and K got started on making it. She then announces that since it doesn't look like it makes all that much, she is going to make two boxes. I was thinking to myself, Whoa, hungry are we? However, this is coming from the girl who eats a whole box of the Kraft craparoni and cheese by herself. Disgusting. Bluegreen made a comment a while back on K sounding like she can be a cow, and it's kinda true! I mean, she's nice, and I like her most of the time, but she needs to listen to what comes out of her mouth, and pay attention to what goes in it. And she needs to get off my back sometimes!

So anyway, she finishes up the double batch of Pastaroni, and when it's done, she brings me over a bowl! Without even asking if I wanted any! I hate those boxed pasta shit things! Not to mention they are swimming in butter! I don't know if it even occurred to her that I would have something else. I was planning on having a piece of toast with a tablespoon of peanut butter, and was actually looking forward to it for once. Then I get this digusting thing of limp noodles put in front of me, and me being me, I proceeded to eat it so as to not seem rude or weird. It wasn't good, and K gave me the portion size that she would eat, which is about three times too big, so I dumped most of my portion down the drain when no one was looking. And obviously I couldn't have the toast after eating that, because that would be way too many calories. I wanted to sit on the kitchen floor and start crying, but I know then I would have looked crazy. So I just walked back into the living room and resumed studying. At least I didn't thank K for the dinner that I didn't want. Who does that? I would always ask someone if they wanted whatever I was making before I up and gave a serving to them.

At least I feel hungry right now.

Also, I may be going to London for spring break! I just cooked up this plan yesterday, so I am trying not to get too excited about it, but it's hard not to. Because I really think it's going to work! I have an uncle who lives in London whom I haven't visited there (he has come over here many times) since I was nine. So I think I am due for a visit, and he keeps telling me to come over any time, and to bring a friend. I asked my skinny friend, W, if she wants to go, and she is totally in. She already wants to start planning! And I was looking on Virgin Atlantic a little while ago, and the flights are pretty cheap if we go from JFK in NYC. This HAS to work! I will be so disappointed if it doesn't. W and I have decided we will get cute British boyfriends with cute British accents while we're there. I melt for a British accent :)

Alright, bed time. So excited to have my computer back!

Love you, Skinnies!

  1. Ugh! My friends alwaysssss eat rediculous amounts of Kraft Dinner and then go right ahead and give me some. It's such a challenge to say no, too. Good for you for tossing it away. I wish I didn't like the taste haha.
I'm going to London, too! I'm going for 3 months starting in February and I couldn't be more excited :) Britt accents turn me head over heels and the cool this is, we have accents to them, too!
Good job on the loss, by the way. I'm sure it's show in the scale soon.
    Hope all's well

  2. Ah! I know the feeling!
I hate it when people give me food too. I don't want your junk! My one skinny friend always tries to give me her food or talk me into getting something unhealthy with her.

Congrats about your laptop and london! That'll be so fun!!

  3. Ugh... K sounds like my Dad. He's always cooking fattening foods and giving me big portions without asking. Of course, that's his job. I'm his child... K, not so much her place for that, is it?

  4. I think it is a curse being around people who eat so much. I hate when they just give you food instead of asking, it's annoying!
You have got to be so stoked on going to London! Hope you have fun!
