Hi lovely ladies! If you didn't notice, I got a new layout for my blog! I am pretty happy with it, but I'm not the one who sits there and reads my posts, so let me know if you love it, if you hate it, if formatting is messed up, or if my font colors need changing to be easier to read or something like that. I just figured it needed to be a grown up blog with a classy layout :)
My friend's party yesterday was lovely, and the weather was perfect. It was sunny and 80 degrees, and she held it at a state park, right on a lake, so we watched all the sailboats float around while hanging out. I have no idea of the calorie count I had, but I didn't eat much, and I used a small plate instead of the dinner plates. Mostly I just boozed, and got quite buzzed off four small glasses of wine, presumably because I had only had a cup of coffee, a cup of orange juice, two Sour Patch Kids, and four cashews for my day's total before the party, and we got to the party at 3:30 in the afternoon. Pretty good!
Today I did really well, until I had some candy corn that my friend brought over to watch the Emmy Awards with. I would estimate that I had 100 calories of those, which puts my total for the day at 715 calories. Still, it's a good number, and I feel hungry right now. I found this Indian curry mix at the grocery store that is only 100 calories per serving, and it looks like I am eating a lot of food! Score! That's what I had for dinner, along with a small serving of white rice. I think next time, I will just have the curry on its own, to cut the calorie count down even more. And since the curry has three servings, I have dinner pre-made for tomorrow and the next night too! I love not having to think and stress over what to eat. I also made sure to get the spiciest curry they had, so my metabolism would get a little boost as well :)
This coming Friday, I am going to go to hot yoga with W and KM. (If you don't remember who these two are, it's in one of the boxes on the side of my blog). It's an hour and fifteen minute long session, and the room is heated to 90 degrees with 40% humidity, so you sweat buckets, apparently! We are going to the beginners class, because we haven't done yoga before, but it should still burn some calories. I am excited to go! I hope it's a lot of fun, and I can get into it. They also told us when we signed up for the class that it is recommended to do yoga on an empty stomach, so it looks like I won't be having dinner Friday, since the class is from 6 to 7:15 in the evening, and by the time I get back home and shower, it is going to be way past 8pm, which is my cut-off for eating at night. Yay! Burning calories and no dinner = LOVE :)
Time for bed for me! I have to miss three classes tomorrow to get my car a lube, oil, and filter, and also because this plastic piece which protects the undercarriage of my car has thrown one of its screws, so the plastic is dragging on the ground, and needs to be re-screwed in. But it means that I will be able to skip out on eating lunch around my friends, so I will just skip lunch all together. Yes!
Love you, Skinnies!
