In other news, I was 122lbs. this morning! And, I really think I do need to get a new scale. I really think the one that K bought that is in the bathroom is messed up, and I so don't trust it anymore. I am wondering if the cats have been jumping on it or something. I bet cats jumping on a scale could cause it to break haha. K has work tomorrow morning, so maybe I will go to Walmart early to buy a new one, and just keep it in my closet and use it in the morning. That way, it won't be weird, and she won't know that I do weigh myself. Then I will have a scale I can bring home, too, since we don't have a scale at home, and I die every time I go home, not being able to know how much I weigh! Thanks for all of your suggestions on scales, by the way! I am definitely going to look for one with 0.2 increments at least. Maybe even one that I can cheat a few ounces, eh Zen? Haha! I have to prepare myself for the odd looks I will get; I always get some sort of comment whenever I have bought scales before, like "Oh, you don't need to worry about dieting!" or something like that. Ugh! lol
So now time to answer some questions!
Z.: Sottile means thin in Italian. I just liked the way it sounded when I was trying to come up with a pseudonym for myself in starting my blog.
WannaBskinny: The sandwich I make is on low-fat omega-3 enhanced wheat bread (65 calories a slice), with roasted pine nut hummus spread on one side and a big fat slice of tomato. Tomatoes are super low in calories, so that big slice only costs me 4 calories, and it is so yummy :) Since I live in the US, we don't measure foods in grams, so I can't picture exactly how much 100gm of granola would be, but my granola (Cascadian Farm Organic cinnamon raisin) has 210 cals per 2/3 cup serving. I use 1/4 cup on my yogurt every morning, so that works out to around 80 cals. The yogurts I get have 110-120 cals in them (Stonyfield Farms Organic brand). And as far as eating past lunch... well it depends. I always have grand plans for having something small at dinner time every day, but a lot of days, it just feels too mentally exhausting to make something for myself, or to even think of what to make, so I just don't eat dinner, and I might have a Greek olive or two, or a piece of cheese, or a few crackers or something. Sometimes I just don't have anything at all. Other times, like this evening, I felt prepared enough to make an actual dinner, so I put a frozen veggie meal in the microwave. It was barley with carrots and sugar-snap peas in a garlic olive oil sauce, at 140 cals.
Man, stomach is not happy right now. I had a glass of wine earlier; I don't know if that could be causing it. Ouch. I feel kind of nauseous. Ick :( I think I am going to go to sleep and ignore it.
Love you, Skinnies!

ReplyDeleteYour vegetarian dinners sound really great. What kind are they/where do you find them?
And yogurt is awesome. Without that and cottage cheese I would seriously just die!

thanks so much for the reply hun! :D your doing great! now since you mentioned those rice cakes i can't for the life of me remember how many calores there are in regula rice cakes hahaha i just remember that i say 30 with the low fat creme chese .. i guess their 17 though as well .. i love rice cakes .. i had one at 1 o clock tonight to boost my motabolism .. i hadn't eaten since noon
ReplyDeleteoh ppl that sell scales are always a bit ironic..I just want to tell them "well of course I weight myself two times a day to be like that, mister!! so don't tell me I don't need dieting" ..but that wouldn't be polite and I tend to be polite to strangers..haha
ReplyDelete*These rice crackers are really tasty but here there are a bit thicker than those you've posted.
love reading your blog,
xoxo
Good job on the weight loss! And you are so lucky to find those rice cakes :) They sound delicious.
ReplyDeleteHells yes for 122!! OMG, as I typed 122 I totally got like a half-chill shiver thing...it's that powerful! Hope that's not too corny...but seriously. Thin...Thin is so...gah...I need it. I need to not be addicted to eating anymore, is what I need. I don't think my pills are doing what they're supposed to be doing. Obviously, if I'm still compelled to binge constantly, right? Duh...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, yes, the scale with the increments of .2 is crucial. I had to get one right away, as soon as I got serious into my weight loss about a year ago. The .5 just wouldn't cut it.
Hope you're well, and staying lovely!

P.D.
CocoPop, huh? Definitely looking into those... asap! they sound superb.
