Puppy Love

The puppy I am puppy sitting is sooo adorable. He is this little black pit bull mix, and he is a barrel of trouble! He is still really young, about 9 weeks old, so he needs to be watched basically all the time, unless he is napping. But he only naps if he is lying in your lap or next to you on the sofa. Yes, adorable. It only takes watching a puppy to understand what celebrities mean when they say they lost all the baby weight from running around after their kids. There were no chances for me to snack today even if I had wanted to, since I had to have an eye on puppy every minute. And he still managed to pee in the apartment four times! No pooping inside, though, so that was good. He is a pee factory; if I am puppy sitting, generally I take the puppy out every hour to pee, but this guy trumped my tactic, so I had to change to every 45 minutes, and even then he still peed once inside! Again, he is still very young, so he really has no bladder control whatsoever. Not his fault, poor puppalup :)

So last night, we had some friends over for dinner, and K made tacos. I actually ate a normal amount. I had one taco, some tortilla chips and salsa (probably about one serving of chips) and six chocolate covered pretzels, plus water. My stomach was beginning to hurt a little after dinner was over, because I haven't eaten a meal that size in quite some time now. I was worried that when I got on the scale before bed, that my weight would skyrocket, but it only ended up being one pound higher than my morning weight, so I was okay with that, especially since my stomach looked so bloated and gross. Then around 6 this morning, I woke up to an awful stomachache, and immediately proceeded into the bathroom, where I will just say it, I had diarrhea. Being me, I jumped on the scale after I flushed, and miraculously, I was down a pound and a half from my night weight only seven hours before. I kind of brushed it off a little, because I had just lost a lot of water you know, so I was betting that once I rehydrated, my weight would go up again.

I drank a pretty good amount of fluids today, since I was very thirsty, and therefore obviously dehydrated after this morning. I had a whole 20oz. bottle of Gatorade, orange juice, coffee, and a half liter of water, which is a lot of liquids for me. (I am not good at drinking my 8 glasses of water a day. oops.) So when I got on the scale tonight, I was expecting to be at least a pound more than my weight this morning. So imagine my shock when I had lost another half a pound! How did that happen?!?!? I even ate breakfast and a small dinner today too! Hopefully this will mean an even lower number tomorrow morning :)

Love you, Skinnies!
